Our hand blended one pound brining seasoning will take care of a turkey 12-14 pounds. Instructions are on the package and it makes it very easy to make the best bird you have ever had!
The kit comes with one pound of brining seasoning and a large brining bag. Add water and broth (if desired) and you are on your way to the juiciest, most tasty bird. The brining mixture permeates the bird all the way to bone and in roasting the bird, it only loses 15% of its moisture vs not brining that loses 23-25% of its moisture.
It is recommended that you start the process two days before needing to roast the bird, one day (12-24 hours) for the brining and the second day (6 hours) for the skin to relax and dry slightly to seal in the juices. This brining blend also works well with chicken and pork chops although we would not brine the chicken for more than 4 hours and the pork chops for more than 2.
